The Royal (Plantagenet) Ancestry of Henry Landon Davies
by Dr. James D. Boyle

All descendants of Nicholas Davies are also descendants of his only son, Henry Landon Davies, and of the three Clayton wives of these two men. Catherine Clayton, the wife of Nicholas, has a line of royal descent from King Edward III of England. The two Clayton wives of Henry Landon Davies also have this royal line of descent, but in addition have a separate line of royal descent from King Edward III through their mother’s (Willis) line. Henry’s two wives are descended from Col. Augustine Warner, Jr (who himself is the great-grandfather of President George Washington and the 8th great-grandfather of Queen Elizabeth II of England). Thus all Davies descendants are of royal Plantagenet descent and are also cousins of both Washington and Queen Elizabeth. They are also descendants of several signers of the Magna Charta and of Charlemagne.
